World No. 43 Norrie is returning to Washington after missing the last three editions. A semi-finalist at the Geneva Open, Norrie is coming off a quarter-final run at Wimbledon.
He lost in straight sets to world No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz. The British No. 2 is placed 40th in the live rankings and has so far compiled a 25-19 record.
Qualifier Billy Harris has a tough tournament ahead, with seeded players lined up in this draw from the second round and all the way. This will be his second match against Norrie in a matter of weeks.
