ATP - ATP Eastbourne International
Prediction :
Reilly Opelka to win in straight sets
It's been a change of first round opponent for Reilly Opelka. He was due to face Matteo Arnaldi in Eastbourne but the Italian withdrew and was replaced by British qualifier George Loffhagen. Here's our prediction of this grass court match.
Opelka is 73rd in the live list and has made a good start to his grass court campaign. The heavy-serving American has already made it to one semi-final this year. That came in the Libema Open.
That wasn't just a good result for the 27-year-old but beating Daniil Medvedev and Nicolas Jarry showed what he's capable of on this service. Last week saw him get to round two at Queen's Club.
George Loffhagen now faces Opelka and he had to win two matches at the weekend to reach this main draw. Doing so has taken him to a career-high of 289th in the live rankings. The 24-year-old won both matches in straight sets.
Two tie-breaks were played by the British player and his opponent has played at least one in 10 of his last 11 matches. A side bet on a tie-break here may well be a winner.
Loffhagen has won 31 of his 37 matches this year with two titles won on lower tours. We tip Opelka to win in straight sets.

The winner of this match will be up against third seed Jakub Mensik in round two. Undestandably, the far more experienced Reilly Opelka is strongly fancied to progress into round two. The American has already shown good form on grass this year and has a serve that is incredibly hard to break.
George Loffhagen has played in four finals this year but now steps up to the ATP Tour. He is a promising British player but this is going to be very difficult for the youngster. Our George Loffhagen v Reilly Opelka prediction is Reilly Opelka to win in straight sets.
