ATP - ATP Eastbourne International
Prediction :
Three sets to be played
Match cancelled due to withdrawal of Perricard from the tournament
Wild card Cameron Norrie has a tough first round draw in the grass court Eastbourne International. He takes on the seventh-seed Giovanni Mpetshi-Perricard in this final tournament before Wimbledon. Here's our match prediction.
Cameron Norrie has been ranked as high as eighth but is currently 61st in the live rankings. The 29-year-old is playing only his second grass court tournament of the year. Last week saw him lose in his first match at Queen's Club against Jakub Mensik but in three sets.
Norrie made it to the last four at Wimbledon in 2022 but that's the only time he's been past round three there. His best form these days seems to be on clay.
Last year saw Perricard make his Wimbledon debut and went all the way to round four. The French player is 36th in the live rankings so won't be seeded in the Grand Slam that begins next week.
This is his third grass court tournament of the season and he's only won one out of three matches. Two of his three matches have gone to a final set, most recently when losing to Brandon Nakashima at Queen's Club.
The winner of this match will face either qualifier Mattia Belluci or Quentin Halys in round two. We tip three sets to be played here.

Can Perricard rediscover the form that took him to round four at Wimbledon last year? That's a major question in this first round match in Eastbourne. If he can, then a win over Norrie is possible but we expect this to be a close match.
A tie-break has been played in five of Norrie's last six grass court matches. Perricard played two in his last match. A side bet on one here may well be profitable. Norrie lacks consistency and our Giovanni Mpetshi-Perricard v Cameron Norrie prediction is three sets to be played.
