Asante Kotoko will look to win their tenth Ghanaian Cup, currently known as the MTN FA Cup, as they face second division club Golden Kick in the final of this edition. This match will be played on Sunday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra, and our prediction is that Golden Kick and the Porcupine Warriors are likely to produce a high-scoring match with over 2.5 goals.
Golden Kick defeated Hearts of Oak 1-0 in the round of 16, Karela 1-0 in the quarter-finals, and ADVSA 3-1 in the semi-finals. As for Asante, they won against Sekondi Eleven Wise (1-0), True Democracy (2-1), and Berekum Chelsea (1-0).
Golden Kick finished their group in fifth place, but their finish to the season has been impressive. They won five of their last six matches, with only a defeat to True Democracy (2-0) proving to be the exception.
Asante were fourth in the Ghana Super League and ended the season with a 3-1 loss at Vision. That continued their indifferent recent form, as they had just four wins in their last 11 competitive matches (W4, D4, L3).
