Prediction :
Barbora Krejcikova to win
Barbora Krejcikova won Wimbledon last year but is only seeded seventh for the WTA Queen's Club championship. The Czech faces unseeded Rebecca Sramkova in the first round of this grass court tournament. Here's our match prediction.
In 2024, Krejcikova was the surprise winner of Wimbledon. That was only her second grass court final and her first title on this surface. An elbow injury kept Krejcikova off the tour until May ad has only won one of her three matches this year.
Krejcikova is 17th in the live rankings and leads Sramkova 2-1 in previous meetings, all played on clay. The winner of this match will face either Emma Raducanu or a qualifier in round two.
Rebecca Sramkova is 41st in the live rankings, five places below her career high. The Slovak failed to qualify for the main draw at Wimbledon five times before last year. 2024 saw her go straight into the main draw but she lost in round one.
That straight sets loss to Marta Kostyuk was the only grass court match she played in 2024. A title was won in 2016 but only three matches have been won by her on grass this decade. Current form is poor too with five of her last seven matches lost.
We tip Krejcikova to win this match.

It's pretty impressive when your debut grass court title is winning Wimbledon. That's just what Barbora Krejcikova did last year but 2025 has been a struggle for the Czech. Injury has meant this is only her fourth match of the year so we recommend low stakes for your wager.
Rebecca Sramkova may not be able to exploit any rustiness Krejcikova may have. The Slovak has a poor grass court record with little success since winning a lesser circuit title nine years ago. Sramkova has been struggling recently and our Rebecca Sramkova v Barbora Krejcikova prediction is Barbora Krejcikova to win.
